The career of our founder, Dipl. Ing. Volkmar Hank, has been dominated by the paint and coatings industry since day one. After his apprenticeship as a paint laboratory technician, he graduated in 1972 with a degree in chemistry.
After two years as laboratory manager of a coatings factory, he switched to the world of additives for the coatings industry and specialized further in the use of technical waxes in the field of coatings and paints.
His experience and specialization still shape the molecular structure of our family business today.
With the aim of producing and offering waxes with special properties for the European coatings industry, Volkmar Hank founded EU-waX Sales & Consulting on January 1, 2000.
The in-house research & development department succeeded in producing unique high-dosage dispersions with up to 60 percent active substance, which meet individual customer requirements to a special degree.
With the highest quality standards and high-quality products, EU-waX additives are in demand in the coatings industry after ten years, not only in Europe but also beyond European borders.
As of January 2010, Thorben M. Hank, another generation of Hanks, joins the team of the family-owned company.
New customer requirements, changes in the market or new regulatory requirements constantly drive us to develop new products and formulations. With our TopAdd Greenline, we offer particularly sustainable additives made from natural waxes.
In 2020, Thorben M. Hank takes over the family business and with the generation change, the company name also changes. Since 2020, we have been operating as HANK Wax GmbH.
